Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Mike Garforth got the match started through his kick off. Henry Morcom made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Mike Garforth in the 3rd minute of play. Mike Garforth received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 5th minute. Henry Morcom tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Mike Garforth blasted a shot towards the goal in the 8th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Henry Morcom having to make a save. An unexpectedly hard shot by Rhys Parrott in the 12th minute of play forced Inter Academy's goalkeeper Silvester Furlong to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The audience was convinced that Greg Bridgeman's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Silvester Furlong was relentless in the 13th minute of the game. A collision led to Inter Academy getting a freekick after 15 minutes play. Jonathan Fitter hit a great ball. In the 16th minute, Greg Bridgeman got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 18th minute, Kris Falkingham got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. When Greg Bridgeman came up free with the goalie in the 21st minute, the Tooting United fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Greg Bridgeman couldn't finish the play. Jonathan Fitter kicked well hit freekick during the 23rd minute of the match. In the 24th match minute, Tooting United was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Rhys Parrott to maneuver through the defense. If Ivan Blackwood had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 25th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Henry Morcom made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Mike Garforth in the 27th minute of play. After 28 minutes of play, Inter Academy's Jeff Dibb made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Henry Morcom was left in no man's land by his defense there! After having played for 35 minutes, Mike Garforth managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Inter Academy's supporters crossed their fingers, but Mike Garforth was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Henry Morcom stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Jeff Dibb's shot from short distance in the 39th minute. Inter Academy's Silvester Furlong played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Greg Bridgeman in the 41st minute of play. In the 44th minute, Tooting United's Dylon Whitman seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Dylon Whitman the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Tooting United protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Dylon Whitman had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 44th minute of the game. One of Tooting United:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Inter Academy:s goal. Henry Morcom had in the 47thth minute some difficulties stopping Jeff Dibb's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Kris Falkingham to strike the kick off in the second half. Inter Academy's Silvester Furlong played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Kris Falkingham in the 53rd minute of play. Silvester Furlong came out of the goal in the 58th minute to try and stop a shot by Tooting United's Kris Falkingham. But to his dismay, Kris Falkingham quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. Thanks to some nice moves Mike Garforth could shoot a difficult shot in the 64th minute, which Henry Morcom however easily saved by the left post. Mike Garforth's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Henry Morcom firmly grabbed it by the left post. Mike Garforth received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 68th minute. Henry Morcom tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 71st minute, Kris Falkingham managed to get in a good position for a shot. Tooting United's supporters rose to their feet, but Kris Falkingham was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Silvester Furlong breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After having played for 74 minutes, Jeff Dibb managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Inter Academy's supporters crossed their fingers, but Jeff Dibb was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. When %teams%'s Jeff Dibb was free in front of goal, he didn't hesitate to shoot 1-2 just inside the left pole, 77 minutes into the game. Henry Morcom was annoyed at himself for letting in the shot. In the 81st minute, Inter Academy's Kristopher Webster ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Henry Morcom. Henry Morcom yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-3. Jeff Dibb sent away a hard shot on goal in the 90th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Inter Academy eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
