Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Harvey Nethercoat took the kick off in the first half of the match. When Carlton Hitchcock came up free with the goalie in the 4th minute, the Laniakea Super Cluster fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Carlton Hitchcock couldn't finish the play. Carlton Hitchcock recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 7th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 9 minutes into the match, Chester-le-Street City's goal looked a bit too open when Harvey Nethercoat came free, but Ruben Rowett reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 10th minute Laniakea Super Cluster were awarded a corner. Sebastien Cooper went to the cornerflag to take it. After 21 played minutes Laniakea Super Cluster got a freekick which was hit by Bill Oldroyd. After 22 played minutes Laniakea Super Cluster got a freekick which was hit by Calvin Grantham. Piers Durkin shot from long distance in the 23rd minute, but Frank Evans was prepared and stopped the ball at the left post. Laniakea Super Cluster's Harvey Nethercoat got a good chance for a goal in the 25th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Ruben Rowett came out of the goal in the 28th minute to try and stop a shot by Laniakea Super Cluster's Harvey Nethercoat. But to his dismay, Harvey Nethercoat quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. Nathan Crouch sent away a hard shot on goal in the 33rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Ruben Rowett came out of the goal and Carlton Hitchcock tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Harvey Nethercoat scored 0-2 in the 42nd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Ruben Rowett, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Nathan Crouch stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. An unexpectedly hard shot by Scott Blakeley in the 56th minute of play forced Laniakea Super Cluster's goalkeeper Frank Evans to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Chester-le-Street City's Ruben Rowett played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Harvey Nethercoat in the 59th minute of play. In the 61st minute, Harvey Nethercoat got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Chester-le-Street City's Ruben Rowett proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 63rd minute of the match, managed to save Chester-le-Street City from getting a goal against them. Harvey Nethercoat succeeded in the game's 64th minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 0-3. Laniakea Super Cluster's Rio Downton suffered a sore thigh after 68 minutes and couldn't finish the game. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Dion Barber during the 68th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 69 played minutes Chester-le-Street City got a freekick which was hit by Dion Barber. 82 minutes into the game, Dominic Clough cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-3. Frank Evans was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Chester-le-Street City's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Piers Durkin in the 91st minute.
