Through an outstanding action, after 3 minutes, Scott Murtagh successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Leigh Dennison hit a great freekick 6 minutes into the match. 9 minutes into the match, James Archer had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Lucas Hold. Ryde Warriors's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that James Archer was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. In the 11th minute Oscar Askew shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Lucas Hold saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Lucas Hold made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Lewis Gallagher in the 15th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Thomas Cheesman in the 16th minute of play forced Ryde Warriors's goalkeeper Lucas Hold to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 19 minutes into the game, Wayne Denham cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-1. Scott Murtagh was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Rory Maylett fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 24th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Scott Murtagh having to interfere. Scott Murtagh was out of position in the 26 minute of play, and Rory Maylett capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Rory Maylett really showed his touch with that goal: 2-1. After 34th play minutes Rory Maylett shot 3-1, a short shot which went by Scott Murtagh and just under the crossbar into goal. Wayne Denham received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 37th minute. Scott Murtagh tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Thomas Cheesman sent away a hard shot on goal in the 39th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Mike Gilchrist's late challenge caught a Ryde Warriors's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Mike Gilchrist helped the player get up and apologised. In the 46th match minute, Harrogate was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Mike Gilchrist to maneuver through the defense.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Rory Maylett to strike the kick off in the second half. Lucas Hold took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Thomas Cheesman, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Thomas Cheesman in the 54th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Lucas Hold prevented the ball from getting in the gole. A collision led to Ryde Warriors getting a freekick after 55 minutes play. Lewis Horsey hit a great ball. Lucas Hold made an important save on a dangerous shot by Lewis Gallagher in the 57th minute. Scott Murtagh didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Rory Maylett went, in the 59th minute, to the upper right corner, 5-1 was the resulting score. When Oscar Askew fell near the penalty area in the 63rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Harrogate's protests and gave Oscar Askew a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, Harrogate's Oscar Askew got a free kick in the 64th minute. 69 minutes into the match, Harrogate's goal looked a bit too open when Rory Maylett came free, but Scott Murtagh reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Ryde Warriors's Rory Maylett got a good chance for a goal in the 71st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. If Wayne Denham had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 72nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. James Archer kicked well hit freekick during the 73rd minute of the match. When Ryde Warriors's Rory Maylett in the 75th minute got a chance for a shot 75th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Harrogate's goalie prevented a goal. After some careless play in the Harrogate defense, Wayne Denham kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Scott Murtagh. The Harrogate fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Scott Murtagh should have stopped the shot. 82 minutes into the match, Harrogate's goal looked a bit too open when Billie Barber came free, but Scott Murtagh reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Scott Murtagh showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Rory Maylett in the 83rd minute of the match. Oscar Askew could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 84th minute of the match, but Lucas Hold made a huge save. Wayne Denham blasted a shot towards the goal in the 87th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Scott Murtagh having to make a save. Lucas Hold was a little too slow when Lewis Gallagher got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 89th minute. The score was now 6-2. After having played for 95 minutes, Rory Maylett managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Ryde Warriors's supporters crossed their fingers, but Rory Maylett was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal.
