Justin Edwards made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Brendon Hewitt in the 39th minute of play. Brendon Hewitt sent away a hard shot on goal in the 40th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Jay Brumfitt kicked well hit freekick during the 42nd minute of the match. After a defensive mix-up in Walendów United's zone, Grant Wardman stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Justin Edwards came out of the goal and Grant Wardman tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Walendów United's Russell Willis got his second yellow card of the match in the 47th minute. The referee ordered Russell Willis off the ground. Russell Willis hit a great freekick 48 minutes into the match. The score stood at 0-0 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Adam Scriven to make the kick off. Walendów United's Justin Edwards played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Brendon Hewitt in the 52nd minute of play.
