After 5 played minutes Aldershot Titans FC got a freekick which was hit by Nathan Tomlin. Kristopher Bodsworth sent away a hard shot on goal in the 8th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 10th match minute, Ingatestone was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Tosh Ashton to maneuver through the defense. In the 11th minute, Hayden Avery left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Aldershot Titans FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. If Hayden Avery had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 18th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After some fancy dribbling in the 22nd minute, Kristopher Bodsworth managed to get in a good position for a shot. Ingatestone's supporters rose to their feet, but Kristopher Bodsworth was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. David Childs breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Ingatestone's Kristopher Bodsworth got a good chance for a goal in the 23rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Jay Young received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 27th minute. David Childs tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. David Childs showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Kristopher Bodsworth in the 29th minute of the match. Nathan Tomlin hit a great freekick 30 minutes into the match. In the 33rd minute Hayden Avery shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Damion Cheeseman saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. David Childs showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Kristopher Bodsworth in the 34th minute of the match. Ian Rothery sent away a hard shot on goal in the 38th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Ian Rothery had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 39th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Tosh Ashton struck a weak shot in the 41st minute. David Childs didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Ingatestone. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Kristopher Bodsworth to strike the kick off in the second half. Hayden Avery hit a great freekick 56 minutes into the match. Kristopher Bodsworth fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 57th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without David Childs having to interfere. The crowd rose to their feet as Nathan Tomlin kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Damion Cheeseman. That made the score 0-2 in the 60 minute of play. Aldershot Titans FC's Nathan Tomlin got his second yellow card of the match in the 65th minute. The referee ordered Nathan Tomlin off the ground. Nathan Tomlin kicked well hit freekick during the 65th minute of the match. After 66 played minutes, Ingatestone's Kristopher Bodsworth shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper David Childs came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Ingatestone reached it. 71 minutes into the match, Kristopher Bodsworth notched a goal, 1-2, to the right of Aldershot Titans FC's David Childs. David Childs was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Buster Reeves might have been able to make a better finish in the 75th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Damion Cheeseman. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Buster Reeves ran back to his position shaking his head. Buster Reeves could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 77th minute of the match, but Damion Cheeseman made a huge save. David Childs came out of the goal in the 90th minute to try and stop a shot by Ingatestone's Tosh Ashton. But to his dismay, Tosh Ashton quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-2. 95 minutes into the game, Tosh Ashton was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Ingatestone's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Aldershot Titans FC the free kick. The supporters of Aldershot Titans FC booed when Ingatestone was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 95 match minutes in a wonderful position. Tosh Ashton didn't get a good kick on the ball. Aldershot Titans FC succeeded in salvaging a draw, even though Ingatestone had controlled the match.
