Rowan Letheren made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-1. Tosh Ashton received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 12th minute. Rowan Letheren tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Horsforth FC's zone, Kristopher Bodsworth stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Rowan Letheren came out of the goal and Kristopher Bodsworth tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After some careless play in the Ingatestone defense, Joe Groves kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Damion Cheeseman. The Ingatestone fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Damion Cheeseman should have stopped the shot. Damion Cheeseman took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Shaun Masters, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. With a little luck, Horsforth FC's Rowan Letheren got control of the ball when Kristopher Bodsworth tried to sneak it across the goal line. Ian Rothery fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 34th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rowan Letheren having to interfere. In the 41st minute the ball was on its way in behind Horsforth FC's goalkeeper Rowan Letheren, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Shaun Masters to strike the kick off in the second half. With a little luck, Ingatestone's Damion Cheeseman got control of the ball when Leroy Machin tried to sneak it across the goal line. Tosh Ashton kicked well hit freekick during the 54th minute of the match. Ian Rothery fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 59th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rowan Letheren having to interfere. Tosh Ashton received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 61st minute. Rowan Letheren tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Tosh Ashton scored 2-2 in the 64th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Rowan Letheren, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 72nd minute, Kevin Chadwick left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Ingatestone fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 3-2. When Ian Rothery came up free with the goalie in the 75th minute, the Ingatestone fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ian Rothery couldn't finish the play. 76 minutes into the game, Joe Groves was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Horsforth FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Ingatestone the free kick. In the 76th minute, Joe Groves hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Ingatestone's Tosh Ashton got a good chance for a goal in the 79th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Horsforth FC's Rowan Letheren played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ian Rothery in the 82nd minute of play. After 85 minutes, Philip Flintoff mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Horsforth FC and the Ingatestone players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, Horsforth FC's Philip Flintoff got a free kick in the 86th minute. Ingatestone's Damion Cheeseman proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 91st minute of the match, managed to save Ingatestone from getting a goal against them. A collision led to Ingatestone getting a freekick after 91 minutes play. Tosh Ashton hit a great ball. Kristopher Bodsworth fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 94th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rowan Letheren having to interfere. In the 96th minute, Kristopher Bodsworth got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal.
