The referee ignored Blackburn Olympic's protests and gave Bradley Blacknell a yellow card for diving instead. In the 7th minute of the match Larry Langsford sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Lee Birchall skillfully saved the ball. Ash Moxon fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 16th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Lee Birchall having to interfere. Blackburn Olympic's Lee Birchall played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jack Fletcher in the 18th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ash Moxon in the 21st minute of play forced Blackburn Olympic's goalkeeper Lee Birchall to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Lee Birchall showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jack Fletcher, who was totally free with the ball in the 25th minute. Glenn Edworthy charged in rather forcefully in the 29th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Glenn Edworthy the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 33rd match minute, Blackburn Olympic was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Matthew Mulford to maneuver through the defense. Zackary Gallagher showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Abraham Foster in the 38th minute of the match. Blackburn Olympic were awarded a corner in the 40th minute after LUFC22's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Jeff Wilmott took the corner. The corner ended in Jeff Wilmott almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but LUFC22's Zackary Gallagher did a great save. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jack Fletcher in the 42nd minute of play forced Blackburn Olympic's goalkeeper Lee Birchall to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In a very dangerous position, a player in Blackburn Olympic fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 47th minute. Penalty! The referee gave LUFC22 a penalty, 49 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Larry Langsford, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Blackburn Olympic's Lee Birchall. 0-1.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Ash Moxon made a kick off. In the 54th minute, LUFC22's Ash Moxon ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Lee Birchall. Lee Birchall yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 0-2. Ash Moxon sent away a hard shot on goal in the 64th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. When Jack Fletcher came up free with the goalie in the 69th minute, the LUFC22 fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Jack Fletcher couldn't finish the play. Abraham Foster received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 71st minute. Zackary Gallagher tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. A collision led to LUFC22 getting a freekick after 73 minutes play. Glenn Edworthy hit a great ball. After recieving a nice pass, Blackburn Olympic's Jeff Wilmott tried to score from far away in the 74th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. Ash Moxon kicked well hit freekick during the 77th minute of the match. In the 81st match minute, Blackburn Olympic was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Matthew Mulford to maneuver through the defense. Ash Moxon's late challenge caught a Blackburn Olympic's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Ash Moxon helped the player get up and apologised. Ash Moxon received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 84th minute. Lee Birchall tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 93rd minute of the match, Ash Moxon tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Lee Birchall saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Ash Moxon sent away a hard shot on goal in the 96th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 99 minutes into the game, Ash Moxon recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Lee Birchall. Ash Moxon showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 0-3. The Blackburn Olympic fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. LUFC22 were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
