In the 13th minute the ball was on its way in behind Windsor's goalkeeper Sacha Bowland, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 14th minute, Tommy Bland hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. With a little luck, Woolwich City's Malcolm Bowler got control of the ball when Oscar Cunningham tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 29th minute, Tommy Bland left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Woolwich City fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. Malcolm Bowler made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Tris Hicks in the 32nd minute of play. When Oscar Cunningham came up free with the goalie in the 35th minute, the Windsor fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Oscar Cunningham couldn't finish the play. Malcolm Bowler made an important save on a dangerous shot by Oscar Cunningham in the 40th minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 41st minute, Oscar Cunningham managed to get in a good position for a shot. Windsor's supporters rose to their feet, but Oscar Cunningham was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. After 55 minutes, Alf Ricketts mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Woolwich City and the Windsor players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 58th minute, Lee Grainger hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Woolwich City's Rio Donnelly got a good chance for a goal in the 63rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. If Oscar Cunningham had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 96th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. The Woolwich City players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
