Bradley Harkness started the match with the kick off. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Aaron Frain during the 3rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Aaron Frain hit a great freekick 3 minutes into the match. Aaron Frain fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 7th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gareth Izzard having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Lawrence Rayner in the 8th minute of play forced Shaftesbury FC's goalkeeper Gareth Izzard to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Rod Auty took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Bradley Harkness, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Lionbow FC's Rod Auty played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Shawn Lane in the 11th minute of play. A collision led to Lionbow FC getting a freekick after 12 minutes play. Carl Ploughman hit a great ball. Bradley Harkness sent away a hard shot on goal in the 13th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Gareth Izzard showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Aaron Frain, who was totally free with the ball in the 17th minute. After 19 played minutes Shaftesbury FC got a freekick which was hit by Edward Beevers. With his leg Gareth Izzard managed to avoid a goal in the 22ndth minute, when Lionbow FC's Seb Chadwick fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. When Bradley Harkness fell near the penalty area in the 24th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Shaftesbury FC's protests and gave Bradley Harkness a yellow card for diving instead. Bradley Harkness fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 28th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rod Auty having to interfere. If Martyn Wilberforce had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 34th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Gareth Izzard showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Aaron Frain, who was totally free with the ball in the 35th minute. Lionbow FC's Rod Auty played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Shane Childs in the 44th minute of play. Rod Auty showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Freddy Leyburn in the 47th minute of the match.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Lawrence Rayner to strike the kick off in the second half. Aaron Frain recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 53rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 60 minutes into the match, Bradley Harkness dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Rod Auty, 1-1. When Shane Childs came up free with the goalie in the 64th minute, the Shaftesbury FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Shane Childs couldn't finish the play. Bradley Harkness received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 66th minute. Rod Auty tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Seb Chadwick sent away a hard shot on goal in the 69th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. With an all-out effort, Shaftesbury FC's Rod Auty threw himself towards the right post 79 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Ryan Frost, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Aaron Frain fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 81st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gareth Izzard having to interfere. 84 minutes into the match, Shaftesbury FC's goal looked a bit too open when Seb Chadwick came free, but Gareth Izzard reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 86th minute, Ryan Frost reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Rod Auty. The goal made the score 2-2. Shaftesbury FC's Gareth Izzard played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Aaron Frain in the 89th minute of play. Rod Auty showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Bradley Harkness, who was totally free with the ball in the 92nd minute. When the match clock showed 95 minutes, the score became 3-2 when Aaron Frain sped through Shaftesbury FC's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Gareth Izzard. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Lionbow FC had won after a very even match.
