Spectators: 7583 (Terracing: 5688, Seating: 1744, VIP seats: 151) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Sacha Kerr kicked off to start the match. Sacha Kerr might have been able to make a better finish in the 7th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Sacha Bowland. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Sacha Kerr ran back to his position shaking his head. Windsor's Tris Hicks got a good chance for a goal in the 11th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Sacha Bowland took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Sacha Kerr, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 17th minute of the match Ashley Burgess sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Sacha Bowland skillfully saved the ball. After a rather tough play, Manchester Devils's Bart Lappin got a free kick in the 22nd minute. After 28 played minutes Manchester Devils got a freekick which was hit by Richie Ripley. The crowd rose to their feet as Sacha Kerr kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Sacha Bowland. That made the score 1-0 in the 35 minute of play. In the 41st minute, Bart Lappin left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Manchester Devils fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-0. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Tris Hicks to make the kick off. 61 minutes into the game, Richie Ripley was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Manchester Devils's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Windsor the free kick. In the 71st minute Bart Lappin shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Sacha Bowland saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Bart Lappin fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 79th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Sacha Bowland having to interfere. Sacha Bowland showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Sacha Kerr, who was totally free with the ball in the 81st minute. If Dion Cross had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 83rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Bart Lappin received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 85th minute. Sacha Bowland tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Bart Lappin sent away a hard shot on goal in the 94th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. In the 97th minute, Bart Lappin got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Windsor's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
