Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Ash Moxon kicked off to start the match. Blair Kitching hit a great freekick 3 minutes into the match. After a rather tough play, Shaftesbury FC's Shane Childs got a free kick in the 5th minute. Gareth Izzard showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ash Moxon in the 7th minute of the match. The supporters of LUFC22 booed when Shaftesbury FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 10 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ryan Frost didn't get a good kick on the ball. Larry Langsford hit a great freekick 13 minutes into the match. LUFC22's Zackary Gallagher proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 14th minute of the match, managed to save LUFC22 from getting a goal against them. Garry Blake hit a great freekick 14 minutes into the match. Shawn Lane received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 17th minute. Zackary Gallagher tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Jack Fletcher in the 19th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Gareth Izzard saved Shaftesbury FC from getting behind. After 21 minutes, Ryan Frost mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Shaftesbury FC and the LUFC22 players grew even worse after the yellow card. If Ash Moxon had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 22nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 23rd minute, Shane Childs hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 26th minute, one of LUFC22:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for LUFC22. When Simon Sugden fell near the penalty area in the 33rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Shaftesbury FC's protests and gave Simon Sugden a yellow card for diving instead. Zackary Gallagher stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Bradley Harkness's shot from short distance in the 38th minute. Gareth Izzard showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ash Moxon, who was totally free with the ball in the 39th minute. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Bradley Harkness in the 41st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Zackary Gallagher saved LUFC22 from getting behind.

The wind increased when Bradley Harkness made the kick off in the second half. Gareth Izzard made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ash Moxon in the 51st minute of play. Jack Fletcher sent away a hard shot on goal in the 54th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 59 minutes into the match, Shaftesbury FC's goal looked a bit too open when Garry Blake came free, but Gareth Izzard reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. With an all-out effort, LUFC22's Gareth Izzard threw himself towards the right post 60 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Ash Moxon, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Zackary Gallagher made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Bradley Harkness in the 62nd minute of play. Gareth Izzard showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ash Moxon in the 63rd minute of the match. After a defensive mix-up in LUFC22's zone, Bradley Harkness stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Zackary Gallagher came out of the goal and Bradley Harkness tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Blair Kitching during the 75th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 76th minute of the match Garry Blake sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Gareth Izzard skillfully saved the ball. If Shawn Lane had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 89th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Zackary Gallagher made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Shawn Lane in the 93rd minute of play. The teams fought very hard right up to the final whistle. Both sets of players were happy to go away with a draw.
