The supporters of Camborne booed when Shaftesbury FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 22 match minutes in a wonderful position. Shane Childs didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Lloyd Coe had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 24th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 25th match minute, Shaftesbury FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Shane Childs to maneuver through the defense. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Ryan Frost during the 26th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After a rather tough play, Shaftesbury FC's Edward Beevers got a free kick in the 44th minute. After having played for 45 minutes, Bill Newbury managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Camborne's supporters crossed their fingers, but Bill Newbury was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Gareth Izzard took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Lloyd Coe, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Shawn Lane stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Shawn Lane recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 55th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 57th minute Shawn Lane shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Martyn Spurgeon saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 61 minutes into the game, Lloyd Coe cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-2. Gareth Izzard was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Bill Newbury might have been able to make a better finish in the 65th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Gareth Izzard. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Bill Newbury ran back to his position shaking his head. Camborne's Martyn Spurgeon played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Shawn Lane in the 73rd minute of play. The supporters of Shaftesbury FC booed when Camborne was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 73 match minutes in a wonderful position. Carlton Pritchard didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 77th minute, Carlton Pritchard hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. A collision led to Shaftesbury FC getting a freekick after 83 minutes play. Ryan Frost hit a great ball. 88 minutes into the match, Camborne's goal looked a bit too open when Shawn Lane came free, but Martyn Spurgeon reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line.
