Spectators: 7048 (Terracing: 5300, Seating: 1738, VIP seats: 10) The mood of the audience was pleasant when Ben Rose made the kick off which started today's match. After 3 played minutes Camberwell got a freekick which was hit by Phil Carroll. Lloyd Alcock fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 8th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Justin Kershaw having to interfere. In the 13th minute of the match Camberwell got a corner. FC Leamington's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Phil Ackland ran over to the corner to take the kick. Camberwell's Phil Ackland was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Dave Plumber in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. Ben Rose received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 15th minute. Dave Plumber tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Stuart Pearce in the 19th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Justin Kershaw prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Justin Kershaw took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Dean Ward, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a rather tough play, Camberwell's Gordon Bzeu got a free kick in the 25th minute. Peter Worrall charged in rather forcefully in the 26th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Peter Worrall the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to Camberwell getting a freekick after 27 minutes play. Peter Worrall hit a great ball. Daryl Reynolds was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 27th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. The supporters of FC Leamington booed when Camberwell was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 28 match minutes in a wonderful position. Rupert Lister didn't get a good kick on the ball. Justin Kershaw showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Stuart Pearce, who was totally free with the ball in the 32nd minute. 58 minutes into the game, Dean Ward recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Justin Kershaw. Dean Ward showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-1. Dave Plumber showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ben Rose in the 68th minute of the match. Phil Ackland kicked well hit freekick during the 71st minute of the match. Daryl Reynolds, 72 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. Stuart Pearce's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Justin Kershaw read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 75th minute of play. In the 80th minute, Camberwell's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Stuart Pearce fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. Camberwell's Justin Kershaw played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Stuart Pearce in the 86th minute of play. Justin Kershaw stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Stuart Pearce's shot from short distance in the 88th minute. An unexpected shot in the 89th minute by Dean Ward got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. Dean Ward who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 92ndth minute tested the skills of Justin Kershaw when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Stuart Pearce received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 94th minute. Justin Kershaw tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Dean Ward blasted a shot towards the goal in the 96th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Justin Kershaw having to make a save. When the final whistle sounded FC Leamington left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Camberwell.
