In the 26th minute Kristian Castledine shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Derek Dobbs saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Jim Morning showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Casey Shephard in the 36th minute of the match. Casey Shephard sent away a hard shot on goal in the 42nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Jim Morning showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Kasey Edwards, who was totally free with the ball in the 44th minute.

In the 55th minute there was a penalty for Evolution. Leigh Bullard stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Derek Dobbs. 1-0. Gregory Wilmott fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 60th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Derek Dobbs having to interfere. In the 62nd minute, Gregory Wilmott got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. When Kristian Castledine came up free with the goalie in the 70th minute, the Evolution fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Kristian Castledine couldn't finish the play. After a rather tough play, Coppull's Chesney Craven got a free kick in the 71st minute. When Evolution's Kristian Castledine in the 73rd minute got a chance for a shot 73rd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie.
