Gregory Wilmott sent away a hard shot on goal in the 23rd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. In the 26th minute the ball was on its way in behind Camberwell's goalkeeper Justin Kershaw, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 29th minute, Ricky Golding made a precise shot to the right of Jim Morning. Evolution's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-1. Ben Rose fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 37th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jim Morning having to interfere. After 38 minutes, Leigh Bullard mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Evolution and the Camberwell players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to Evolution getting a freekick after 38 minutes play. Leigh Bullard hit a great ball. In the 43rd minute, Ben Rose got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Ben Rose stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Kristian Castledine in the 52nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Justin Kershaw prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After 54 minutes, Joel West mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Evolution and the Camberwell players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 66thth minute of the game Ben Rose who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Evolution's Jim Morning was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Peter Worrall kicked well hit freekick during the 71st minute of the match. Ricky Golding received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 74th minute. Jim Morning tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Gregory Wilmott came up free with the goalie in the 77th minute, the Evolution fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Gregory Wilmott couldn't finish the play. In the 78th minute, Sebastian Brighton got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Justin Kershaw made an important save on a dangerous shot by Gregory Wilmott in the 83rd minute. In the 83rd minute, Peter Worrall hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 86th minute, Ricky Golding got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Peter Worrall struck a weak shot in the 87th minute. Jim Morning didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Camberwell.
