Red Star Albion FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Thom Falkingham was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Dave Plumber breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Tod Rawlings received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 46th minute. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The wind increased when Thom Falkingham made the kick off in the second half. The supporters of FC Leamington booed when Red Star Albion FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 53 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jeremy Barber didn't get a good kick on the ball. Gwyn Powell showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Stuart Pearce in the 54th minute of the match. 59 minutes into the match, Red Star Albion FC's goal looked a bit too open when Dean Ward came free, but Gwyn Powell reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Tod Rawlings sent away a hard shot on goal in the 63rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Dave Plumber stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Thom Falkingham's shot from short distance in the 69th minute. In the 71st minute Thom Falkingham shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dave Plumber saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Denis Lonsdale in the 72nd minute of play forced FC Leamington's goalkeeper Dave Plumber to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Dylan Talbot charged in rather forcefully in the 77th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Dylan Talbot the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 77th minute, one of FC Leamington:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for FC Leamington. FC Leamington:s Dave Plumber showed great skill when he stopped Tristan Lonsdale:s penalty. If Bradley Litchfield had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 82nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Dave Plumber acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 86th minute, took the ball on the long shot from Paddy Mann. Gwyn Powell took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Dean Ward, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 96th minute Dean Ward shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gwyn Powell saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Stuart Pearce struck a weak shot in the 98th minute. Gwyn Powell didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for FC Leamington. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. FC Leamington had won after a very even match.
