Spectators: 7498 (Terracing: 5624, Seating: 1725, VIP seats: 149) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Chris Pilgrim took the kick off in the first half of the match. South Lawn FC's Chris Pilgrim got a good chance for a goal in the 3rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Fraser Tandy hit a great freekick 6 minutes into the match. Brigden's attack was well implemented in the 7th minute, but when Pete McDonald was about to shoot he didn't get a good hit on the ball and it hit the crossbar and flew over. Goal Kick. In the 9th minute Pete McDonald shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Seth Piercy saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 12thth minute of the game Chris Pilgrim who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Brigden's Robin Gildea was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers David Donnelly in the 14th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Robin Gildea saved Brigden from getting behind. When David Donnelly came up free with the goalie in the 15th minute, the South Lawn FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that David Donnelly couldn't finish the play. 18 minutes into the match, Brigden's Pete McDonald sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Seth Piercy narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 29th minute Chris Pilgrim shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Robin Gildea saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 30th minute, David Donnelly managed to get in a good position for a shot. South Lawn FC's supporters rose to their feet, but David Donnelly was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Robin Gildea breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 33rd minute Chris Pilgrim shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Robin Gildea saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Robin Gildea showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Chris Pilgrim in the 35th minute of the match. In the 36th minute the ball was on its way in behind Brigden's goalkeeper Robin Gildea, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Rod Titmus sent away a hard shot on goal in the 38th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 42 minutes, Kris Salmon mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Brigden and the South Lawn FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. Pete McDonald received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 47th minute. Seth Piercy tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Pete McDonald was the one to do the kick off. Rex Bullard fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 52nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Robin Gildea having to interfere. In the 59th minute, Chris Pilgrim got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The audience thought a goal was coming when David Donnelly got free with Robin Gildea in the 61st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Brigden's Robin Gildea proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 65th minute of the match, managed to save Brigden from getting a goal against them. During the 73rd minute of the match Kris Salmon completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Kris Salmon a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. Kris Salmon kicked well hit freekick during the 73rd minute of the match. After 75 minutes, Pete McDonald mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Brigden and the South Lawn FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 75 played minutes Brigden got a freekick which was hit by Pete McDonald. Chris Pilgrim fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 76th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Robin Gildea having to interfere. 79 minutes into the match, South Lawn FC's Chris Pilgrim sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Robin Gildea narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After 82nd play minutes David Donnelly shot 0-1, a short shot which went by Robin Gildea and just under the crossbar into goal. When the match had gone on for 86 minutes, Chris Pilgrim put it in 0-2 from a short distance just to the right of Robin Gildea. Chris Pilgrim fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 89th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Robin Gildea having to interfere.
