The supporters of South Lawn FC booed when Kemsing was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 52 match minutes in a wonderful position. Lance Beardsley didn't get a good kick on the ball. South Lawn FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but David Donnelly was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Clive Jones's late challenge caught a South Lawn FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Clive Jones helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to Kemsing getting a freekick after 93 minutes play. Clive Jones hit a great ball. Kemsing's Bart Houghton played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by David Donnelly in the 94th minute of play. Neither team had looked impressive and the draw seeemd a fair result.
