Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Basil North took the kick off in the first half of the match. Rob Tuck hit a great freekick 8 minutes into the match. Wigmore United's William Bagshaw played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Chris Pilgrim in the 9th minute of play. Roy Noble kicked well hit freekick during the 11th minute of the match. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Chris Pilgrim in the 13th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg William Bagshaw saved Wigmore United from getting behind. The crowd rose to their feet as Basil North kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Seth Piercy. That made the score 1-0 in the 15 minute of play. William Bagshaw made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Chris Pilgrim in the 19th minute of play. When South Lawn FC's David Donnelly in the 25th minute got a chance for a shot 25th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Wigmore United's goalie prevented a goal. The audience was convinced that David Donnelly's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but William Bagshaw was relentless in the 28th minute of the game. In the 35th minute Chris Pilgrim shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but William Bagshaw saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. David Donnelly sent away a hard shot on goal in the 37th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After some fancy dribbling in the 47th minute, Adrian Morris managed to get in a good position for a shot. Wigmore United's supporters rose to their feet, but Adrian Morris was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Seth Piercy breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Chris Pilgrim was the one to do the kick off. When Kristian Robins fell near the penalty area in the 51st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored South Lawn FC's protests and gave Kristian Robins a yellow card for diving instead. After 52 played minutes South Lawn FC got a freekick which was hit by Kristian Robins. William Bagshaw made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Chris Pilgrim in the 57th minute of play. With a little luck, Wigmore United's William Bagshaw got control of the ball when David Donnelly tried to sneak it across the goal line. David Donnelly's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but William Bagshaw read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 71st minute of play. Kristian Robins hit a great freekick 72 minutes into the match. David Donnelly succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 1-2 in the 76th playminute. The supporters of Wigmore United booed when South Lawn FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 79 match minutes in a wonderful position. Leroy Hilton didn't get a good kick on the ball. David Donnelly received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 86th minute. William Bagshaw tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. William Bagshaw took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Chris Pilgrim, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 93rd minute Chris Pilgrim shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but William Bagshaw saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. William Bagshaw made a fantastic save in the 94th minute, when David Donnelly sent off a good shot on target. The South Lawn FC players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
