Ty King hit a great ball. In the 46th minute of the match Curtis Soussan sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Seth Piercy skillfully saved the ball. Kristian Robins kicked well hit freekick during the 47th minute of the match. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-0 at half-time.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Chris Pilgrim stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 55th minute, Shaftesbury's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after David Donnelly fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. After some fancy dribbling in the 57th minute, David Donnelly managed to get in a good position for a shot. South Lawn FC's supporters rose to their feet, but David Donnelly was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Jon Gardner breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Rory Flower hit a great freekick 58 minutes into the match. The referee ignored South Lawn FC's protests and gave Kristian Robins a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to South Lawn FC getting a freekick after 70 minutes play. Kristian Robins hit a great ball. Seth Piercy took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Lance Byrne, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When Kristian Robins was, once again, overly rough in his play he received his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 73 minutes had been played. Kristian Robins hit a great freekick 74 minutes into the match. If Lance Byrne had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 75th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Seth Piercy took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Nathanial Harrison, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Shaftesbury's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave South Lawn FC the free kick. The supporters of South Lawn FC booed when Shaftesbury was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 83 match minutes in a wonderful position. Rory Flower didn't get a good kick on the ball. With a little luck, Shaftesbury's Jon Gardner got control of the ball when David Donnelly tried to sneak it across the goal line. When Jake Phelps fell near the penalty area in the 94th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Shaftesbury's protests and gave Jake Phelps a yellow card for diving instead.
