When Gerry Greenfield came up free with the goalie in the 12th minute, the Chingford City fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Gerry Greenfield couldn't finish the play. The nice shot from Nicky Edwards in the 14thth minute just in front of the goal should have ended in point on the board, but Ashley Hunter had a great feel for the game and superbly saved the ball from getting in by the left post. After a rather tough play, Saint Dorris Dynamoes's Ralf Foster got a free kick in the 16th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gerry Greenfield in the 23rd minute of play forced Saint Dorris Dynamoes's goalkeeper Ashley Hunter to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Dom Downes stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Ritchie Waterhouse's shot from short distance in the 25th minute. Samuel Prutton sent away a hard shot on goal in the 26th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 29th play minute Nicky Edwards came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Ashley Hunter. 1-0. After 33 played minutes, Saint Dorris Dynamoes's Ricky Carter shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Dom Downes came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Saint Dorris Dynamoes reached it. After 33 played minutes Chingford City got a freekick which was hit by Rick Thornton. After 35 minutes, Samuel Prutton made it 1-1 with a short kick to the right side. Chingford City's Dom Downes tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Dom Downes made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ritchie Waterhouse in the 38th minute of play. If Ritchie Waterhouse had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 41st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Chingford City's Dom Downes played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Samuel Prutton in the 46th minute of play. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Ritchie Waterhouse stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Samuel Prutton sent away a hard shot on goal in the 53rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 60th minute of the match, Ritchie Waterhouse tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Dom Downes saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. After some fancy dribbling in the 69th minute, Gerry Greenfield managed to get in a good position for a shot. Chingford City's supporters rose to their feet, but Gerry Greenfield was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Ashley Hunter breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Nicky Edwards received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 75th minute. Ashley Hunter tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Gerry Greenfield struck a weak shot in the 80th minute. Ashley Hunter didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Chingford City. 83 minutes into the match, Gerry Greenfield notched a goal, 2-1, to the right of Saint Dorris Dynamoes's Ashley Hunter. Ashley Hunter was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it.
