The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. The audience thought a goal was coming when Dom Penn got free with Barney Singleton in the 5th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. With a little luck, 419 OBI FC's Barney Singleton got control of the ball when Dom Penn tried to sneak it across the goal line. Dom Penn recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 11th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Dom Penn could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 13th minute of the match, but Barney Singleton made a huge save. Thurmaston City's Dom Penn got a good chance for a goal in the 16th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 18 minutes into the match, 419 OBI FC's goalkeeper Barney Singleton had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Dom Penn. Travis Coleman's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 22ndth minute, Barney Singleton skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Barney Singleton showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Devon Chiverton, who was totally free with the ball in the 27th minute. Thurmaston City's Devon Chiverton got a good chance for a goal in the 29th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 419 OBI FC's Barney Singleton played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Dom Penn in the 30th minute of play. In the 32nd match minute, 419 OBI FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Darryl Beck to maneuver through the defense. 39 minutes into the match, 419 OBI FC's goalkeeper Barney Singleton had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Dom Penn. After a defensive mix-up in 419 OBI FC's zone, Devon Chiverton stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Barney Singleton came out of the goal and Devon Chiverton tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 0-0 after a close first half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Devon Chiverton to strike the kick off in the second half. In the 55th match minute, 419 OBI FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by William Boyd to maneuver through the defense. After some fancy dribbling in the 56th minute, Bob Hayes managed to get in a good position for a shot. Thurmaston City's supporters rose to their feet, but Bob Hayes was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Barney Singleton breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 419 OBI FC's Barney Singleton played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Dom Penn in the 60th minute of play. In the 64th match minute, Thurmaston City was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Nathanial Dunning to maneuver through the defense. Jonathon Barnes was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 65th minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Tom Hird. Nathanial Dunning charged in rather forcefully in the 65th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Nathanial Dunning the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Barney Singleton showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Dom Penn in the 68th minute of the match. Devon Chiverton struck a weak shot in the 74th minute. Barney Singleton didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Thurmaston City. When Thurmaston City's Dom Penn in the 76th minute got a chance for a shot 76th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye 419 OBI FC's goalie prevented a goal. Devon Chiverton sent away a hard shot on goal in the 81st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After having played for 88 minutes, Dom Penn managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Thurmaston City's supporters crossed their fingers, but Dom Penn was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Devon Chiverton in the 92nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Barney Singleton prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Barney Singleton took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Devon Chiverton, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 419 OBI FC succeeded in salvaging a draw, even though Thurmaston City had controlled the match.
