Peter Buckler showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Greg Clough, who was totally free with the ball in the 3rd minute. Peter Buckler showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Greg Clough in the 5th minute of the match. Lenny Huxtable sent away a hard shot on goal in the 7th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 9th minute, Jerome Hoult left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Pinebrook AFC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. Greg Clough received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 12th minute. Peter Buckler tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Sammy Pack hit a great freekick 18 minutes into the match. With an all-out effort, Real Madrid CF's Roger Blacksmith threw himself towards the right post 19 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Gareth Stamp, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. If Gareth Stamp had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 23rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Lenny Huxtable fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 24th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Roger Blacksmith having to interfere. Real Madrid CF's Peter Buckler played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jerome Hoult in the 27th minute of play. After 31 minutes of play, Pinebrook AFC's Jerome Hoult made it 0-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Peter Buckler was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 35th minute Gareth Stamp shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Roger Blacksmith saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Lenny Huxtable had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 37th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. With a little luck, Pinebrook AFC's Roger Blacksmith got control of the ball when Lenny Huxtable tried to sneak it across the goal line. Lenny Huxtable came free with the goalkeeper in the 47th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Roger Blacksmith could save by the left post.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Jerome Hoult made a kick off. After some fancy dribbling in the 55th minute, Jerome Hoult managed to get in a good position for a shot. Pinebrook AFC's supporters rose to their feet, but Jerome Hoult was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Peter Buckler breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Jerome Hoult fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 59th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Peter Buckler having to interfere. Greg Clough recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 61st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Pinebrook AFC's Roger Blacksmith played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gareth Stamp in the 66th minute of play. After 69 minutes, Sammy Pack mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Pinebrook AFC and the Real Madrid CF players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to Pinebrook AFC getting a freekick after 69 minutes play. Sammy Pack hit a great ball. Gareth Stamp's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Roger Blacksmith read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 72nd minute of play. In the 73rd match minute, Pinebrook AFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Sammy Pack to maneuver through the defense. If Lenny Huxtable had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 77th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Lenny Huxtable took the ball and in the 85 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Roger Blacksmith. Roger Blacksmith dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-2. Pinebrook AFC's Roger Blacksmith played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gareth Stamp in the 89th minute of play. The supporters of Real Madrid CF booed when Pinebrook AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 89 match minutes in a wonderful position. Joshua Bean didn't get a good kick on the ball. When the match had gone on for 91 minutes, Gareth Stamp put it in 2-2 from a short distance just to the right of Roger Blacksmith. The final whistle blew with the score still tied, and both teams left the pitch thinking about the missed chances that could have given their team the win.
