But to his dismay, Jerome Hoult quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. 12 minutes into the game, Greg Clough cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-2. Barney Singleton was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. 16 minutes into the match, 419 OBI FC's goal looked a bit too open when Jerome Hoult came free, but Barney Singleton reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Barney Singleton showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Greg Clough, who was totally free with the ball in the 23rd minute. The supporters of Pinebrook AFC booed when 419 OBI FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 23 match minutes in a wonderful position. Darryl Beck didn't get a good kick on the ball. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-2.

When Jerome Hoult came up free with the goalie in the 53rd minute, the Pinebrook AFC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Jerome Hoult couldn't finish the play. Jerome Hoult fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 56th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Barney Singleton having to interfere. Barney Singleton showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jerome Hoult in the 60th minute of the match. 63 minutes into the match, 419 OBI FC's goalkeeper Barney Singleton had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Greg Clough. The crowd rose to their feet as Pinebrook AFC's Jerome Hoult slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Barney Singleton. That made the score 0-5 after 94 minutes of play. When the final whistle sounded Pinebrook AFC left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than 419 OBI FC.
