Spectators: 7131 (Terracing: 5250, Seating: 1731, VIP seats: 150) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Tommy Cryan took the kick off in the first half of the match. After having played for 19 minutes, Ruben Butterfield managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Bayton's supporters crossed their fingers, but Ruben Butterfield was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The supporters of Bayton booed when Portsmouth FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 21 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jeff Gayle didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 25th minute, Tommy Cryan got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After a rather tough play, Portsmouth FC's Cody Lister got a free kick in the 27th minute. Tommy Cryan received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Buster Proctor came out and tried to block the shot, but Tommy Cryan slotted it home off the left post making it 1-1 in the 32nd minute. Grant Mitchell-King took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Bryan Constable, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Bryan Constable sent away a hard shot on goal in the 39th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The score stood at 1-1 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Bryan Constable stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Portsmouth FC's defense didn't have a chance, in the 53rd minute, when Bryan Constable scored to the left of an out of position Grant Mitchell-King, making the score, 1-2. Grant Mitchell-King came out of the goal in the 58th minute to try and stop a shot by Bayton's Ruben Butterfield. But to his dismay, Ruben Butterfield quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-3. 62 minutes into the game, Bryan Constable lined in a short shot 1-4 behind a frustrated Grant Mitchell-King. After 66 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Portsmouth FC! The goalkeeper, Grant Mitchell-King, was totally fooled by Bayton's George Wheeler, who 67 minutes into the game made a penalty shot that went in on the goalkeeper's left side. Tommy Cryan sent away a hard shot on goal in the 70th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Thanks to some nice moves Ruben Butterfield could shoot a difficult shot in the 80th minute, which Grant Mitchell-King however easily saved by the left post. 81 minutes into the game, Bryan Constable recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Grant Mitchell-King. Bryan Constable showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-6. Portsmouth FC's Grant Mitchell-King proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 85th minute of the match, managed to save Portsmouth FC from getting a goal against them. An unexpectedly hard shot by Bryan Constable in the 86th minute of play forced Portsmouth FC's goalkeeper Grant Mitchell-King to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 88 minutes into the match, Portsmouth FC's goalkeeper Grant Mitchell-King had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Ruben Butterfield. After 93 played minutes Bayton got a freekick which was hit by Bryan Constable. Grant Mitchell-King made a fantastic save in the 94th minute, when Ruben Butterfield sent off a good shot on target. When Bayton's Ruben Butterfield in the 96th minute got a chance for a shot 96th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Portsmouth FC's goalie prevented a goal.
