With a couple of smart ball manuevers Chris Middleton in the 14th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Ralph Hargrave saved Superbad from getting behind. In the 15th minute, Sonny Fairs hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Ralph Hargrave showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Chris Middleton, who was totally free with the ball in the 19th minute. Chase Brotherton's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Eric Whieldon read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 23rd minute of play. After a rather tough play, Rats's Oscar Wiseman got a free kick in the 23rd minute. 33 minutes into the match, Superbad's Chase Brotherton sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Eric Whieldon narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Callum Attwood kicked well hit freekick during the 36th minute of the match. In the 41st minute, Robbie Trotter got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Rats's Eric Whieldon played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Lee Pascoe in the 53rd minute of play. Eric Whieldon showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Chase Brotherton in the 55th minute of the match. Chase Brotherton sent away a hard shot on goal in the 65th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Lee Pascoe fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 67th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Eric Whieldon having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 90th minute, Chris Middleton managed to get in a good position for a shot. Rats's supporters rose to their feet, but Chris Middleton was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Ralph Hargrave breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Rats had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
