Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) A.F.C Bournemouth's Alfie Walker started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Alfie Marler made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Tod Edwards in the 7th minute of play. In the 14th match minute, A.F.C Bournemouth was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Michael Dobby to maneuver through the defense. George Atkinson hit a great freekick 17 minutes into the match. In the 18th minute Jack Woods shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Alfie Marler saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Jack Woods had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 25th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. After 27 minutes of play, Hadleigh United's Jack Woods made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Alfie Marler was left in no man's land by his defense there! George Atkinson fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 34th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Damon Buckley having to interfere. After having played for 36 minutes, Jack Woods managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Hadleigh United's supporters crossed their fingers, but Jack Woods was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. If Alfie Walker had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 44th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Damon Buckley didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from George Atkinson went, in the 47th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-1 was the resulting score. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.
When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Richard Noble made a kick off. Damon Buckley showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Rory Jefferies, who was totally free with the ball in the 58th minute. Tyler Theakston sent away a hard shot on goal in the 60th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After some fancy dribbling in the 66th minute, Rory Jefferies managed to get in a good position for a shot. A.F.C Bournemouth's supporters rose to their feet, but Rory Jefferies was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Damon Buckley breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The supporters of A.F.C Bournemouth booed when Hadleigh United was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 69 match minutes in a wonderful position. Nat Robson didn't get a good kick on the ball. Alfie Walker received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 70th minute. Damon Buckley tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 71st match minute, Hadleigh United was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Nat Robson to maneuver through the defense. Damon Buckley showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Alfie Walker, who was totally free with the ball in the 73rd minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 75th minute, Rory Jefferies managed to get in a good position for a shot. A.F.C Bournemouth's supporters rose to their feet, but Rory Jefferies was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Damon Buckley breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The A.F.C Bournemouth fans' excitement grew in the 77th match minute when A.F.C Bournemouth's Alfie Walker looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 2-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Tyler Theakston kicked well hit freekick during the 80th minute of the match. Damon Buckley made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Alfie Walker in the 83rd minute of play. 84 minutes into the match, Hadleigh United's goal looked a bit too open when Rory Jefferies came free, but Damon Buckley reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 90th minute Richard Noble shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Alfie Marler saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Richard Noble was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 91st minute. Hadleigh United's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. When Tod Edwards came up free with the goalie in the 96th minute, the Hadleigh United fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Tod Edwards couldn't finish the play. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. A.F.C Bournemouth fully deserved thier win.
