Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Richard Noble got the match started through his kick off. Jack Woods could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 9th minute of the match, but Charles Auty made a huge save. After some fancy dribbling in the 12th minute, Richard Noble managed to get in a good position for a shot. Hadleigh United's supporters rose to their feet, but Richard Noble was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Charles Auty breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 14 minutes into the match, Deon Kennedy notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of Hadleigh United's Damon Buckley. Damon Buckley was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. The supporters of West Rainton AFC booed when Hadleigh United was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 18 match minutes in a wonderful position. Nat Robson didn't get a good kick on the ball. Marty Shackleton took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 18th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Damon Buckley. Hadleigh United's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Nat Robson hit a great freekick 19 minutes into the match. Damon Buckley took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Callum Byrom, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Jack Woods had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 25th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Callum Byrom came up free with the goalie in the 27th minute, the West Rainton AFC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Callum Byrom couldn't finish the play. In the 29th minute, Deon Kennedy ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Damon Buckley was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-2. After a rather tough play, West Rainton AFC's Ethan Dwyer got a free kick in the 32nd minute. Richard Noble sent away a hard shot on goal in the 33rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Deon Kennedy had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 37th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 39th minute the ball was on its way in behind Hadleigh United's goalkeeper Damon Buckley, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Damon Buckley showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Deon Kennedy, who was totally free with the ball in the 40th minute. If Callum Byrom had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 41st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Hadleigh United's Damon Buckley played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Callum Byrom in the 43rd minute of play. In the 47th minute, Deon Kennedy got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Deon Kennedy made a kick off. Richard Noble received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 51st minute. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 81 minutes into the match, Hadleigh United's goalkeeper Damon Buckley had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Callum Byrom. After 83 minutes Hadleigh United's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Marty Shackleton who took care of the corner kick. Andre Harrison made a great header on West Rainton AFC's corner, it was just that Hadleigh United's Damon Buckley managed to reach the ball for a save. Callum Byrom sent away a hard shot on goal in the 86th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. With splendid footwork Deon Kennedy arrived in front of goal to shoot 0-4 by the left pole in the game's 88th minute. After 91 played minutes West Rainton AFC got a freekick which was hit by Ethan Dwyer. Damon Buckley showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Deon Kennedy in the 97th minute of the match. When the match was over West Rainton AFC could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Hadleigh United throughout the match.
