With a couple of smart ball manuevers Callum Byrom in the 16th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Danny Patten saved Wirral County from getting behind. Danny Patten made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Deon Kennedy in the 23rd minute of play. Wirral County's Danny Patten played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Deon Kennedy in the 27th minute of play. After having played for 30 minutes, Phillip Percival managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Wirral County's supporters crossed their fingers, but Phillip Percival was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After a defensive mix-up in Wirral County's zone, Callum Byrom stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Danny Patten came out of the goal and Callum Byrom tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 34 minutes into the game, Tommy Varley was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Wirral County's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave West Rainton AFC the free kick. Tommy Varley hit a great freekick 35 minutes into the match. When West Rainton AFC's Callum Byrom in the 36th minute got a chance for a shot 36th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Wirral County's goalie prevented a goal. In the 36th match minute, Wirral County was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Zak Swallow to maneuver through the defense. When Deon Kennedy came up free with the goalie in the 37th minute, the West Rainton AFC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Deon Kennedy couldn't finish the play. Ethan Dwyer kicked well hit freekick during the 38th minute of the match. After 43 played minutes West Rainton AFC got a freekick which was hit by Callum Byrom. In the 45th minute, Wirral County's Phillip Percival ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Charles Auty. Charles Auty yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-0. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

The wind increased when Phillip Percival made the kick off in the second half. Rio Laurie fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 52nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Charles Auty having to interfere. Deon Kennedy struck a weak shot in the 55th minute. Danny Patten didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for West Rainton AFC. Deon Kennedy received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 58th minute. Danny Patten tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 62ndth minute of the game Deon Kennedy who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Wirral County's Danny Patten was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 65th minute, Callum Byrom got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After 69 minutes, Deon Kennedy mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the West Rainton AFC and the Wirral County players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 69 played minutes West Rainton AFC got a freekick which was hit by Deon Kennedy. Danny Patten made an important save on a dangerous shot by Callum Byrom in the 71st minute. Deon Kennedy had several of the Wirral County's defenders around him in the penalty area when he, after 73 minutes of play, received a pass and succeeded in some way to shoot a shot which went straight ahead into goal. This resulted in a 1-2 score and a disappointed Danny Patten as he didn't even see the shot coming. Callum Byrom received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 82nd minute. In the 89th minute Deon Kennedy shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Danny Patten saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Ethan Dwyer charged in rather forcefully in the 92nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Ethan Dwyer the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After a rather tough play, West Rainton AFC's Ethan Dwyer got a free kick in the 92nd minute. Phillip Percival received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 94th minute. Charles Auty tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. West Rainton AFC played a much better game than Wirral County and deserved their victory. The Wirral County players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
