Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The mood of the audience was pleasant when Trey Elwick made the kick off which started today's match. In the 5th minute, Barrie Creighton got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Louis Armitage charged in rather forcefully in the 7th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Louis Armitage the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A hard shot by Liam Marriot from long distance, 7 minutes into the match, got Matt Goldthorpe's attention. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. In the 9th minute, Barrie Creighton hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Jay Staple sent away a hard shot on goal in the 11th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Chris Rowell took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Trey Elwick, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 20th minute Barrie Creighton shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Matt Goldthorpe saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Tristan Brewer's late challenge caught a Hendon United FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Tristan Brewer helped the player get up and apologised. Jay Staple blasted a shot towards the goal in the 29th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Chris Rowell having to make a save. Jay Staple sent away a hard shot on goal in the 33rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. A collision led to Stanford le Hope getting a freekick after 35 minutes play. Tristan Brewer hit a great ball. In the 36th minute of the match Warren Kirkpatrick shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Chris Rowell showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. After a rather tough play, Stanford le Hope's Wesley Edwards got a free kick in the 37th minute. In the 38th minute, Warren Kirkpatrick sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Stanford le Hope's Chris Rowell didn't even have to move. After a defensive mix-up in Stanford le Hope's zone, Jay Staple stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Chris Rowell came out of the goal and Jay Staple tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Wesley Edwards kicked well hit freekick during the 42nd minute of the match. Warren Kirkpatrick took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 43rd minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Chris Rowell. Stanford le Hope's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 0-0 after a close first half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Barrie Creighton to strike the kick off in the second half. After 50 played minutes Hendon United FC got a freekick which was hit by Bobby Monk. Chris Rowell was out of position in the 55 minute of play, and Trey Elwick capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Trey Elwick really showed his touch with that goal: 0-1. Louis Armitage kicked well hit freekick during the 57th minute of the match. Barrie Creighton scored 1-1 in the 61st match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Matt Goldthorpe, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Stanford le Hope's Barrie Creighton got a good chance for a goal in the 70th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Wesley Edwards kicked well hit freekick during the 73rd minute of the match. After 75 minutes Stanford le Hope's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Warren Kirkpatrick who took care of the corner kick. A well-hit corner resulted in Bobby Monk heading the ball towards the goal, but to his dismay he misdirected it and missed the goal completely. Chris Rowell took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Trey Elwick, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 84 minutes into the match, Jay Staple notched a goal, 1-2, to the right of Stanford le Hope's Chris Rowell. Chris Rowell was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Matt Goldthorpe didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Barrie Creighton went, in the 90th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-2 was the resulting score. Matt Goldthorpe took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Barrie Creighton, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Hendon United FC were disappointed that they only managed a draw, even though they felt themselves to be the better team.
