After a defensive mix-up in LC Exiles's zone, Dean Devine stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Rupert Avery came out of the goal and Dean Devine tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Dean Devine sent away a hard shot on goal in the 11th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Spike Kellaway's late challenge caught a EDGE United's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Spike Kellaway helped the player get up and apologised. Spike Kellaway kicked well hit freekick during the 13th minute of the match. Dean Devine fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 15th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rupert Avery having to interfere. Rupert Avery stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Sammy Perryman's shot from short distance in the 17th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Rupert Avery came out of the goal in the 45th minute to try and stop a shot by EDGE United's Sammy Perryman. But to his dismay, Sammy Perryman quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-3. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-3 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The wind increased when Sammy Perryman made the kick off in the second half. LC Exiles's Rupert Avery proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 51st minute of the match, managed to save LC Exiles from getting a goal against them. Shane Weir charged in rather forcefully in the 60th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Shane Weir the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Spike Kellaway in the 86th minute of play forced EDGE United's goalkeeper Brendon Shepherd to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 88th minute, Dean Devine ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Rupert Avery was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-4. Dean Devine sent away a hard shot on goal in the 93rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. EDGE United walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
