With a little luck, EDGE United's Brendon Shepherd got control of the ball when Camron Adams tried to sneak it across the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 9th minute, Camron Adams managed to get in a good position for a shot. Tenbury Wells AFC's supporters rose to their feet, but Camron Adams was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Brendon Shepherd breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 14th minute, Dean Devine got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Tenbury Wells AFC's Pierce Stone played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Sammy Perryman in the 15th minute of play. EDGE United's Dean Devine got a good chance for a goal in the 16th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 19 minutes into the match, EDGE United's goal looked a bit too open when Wesley Hardcastle came free, but Brendon Shepherd reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 20th match minute, EDGE United was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Richie Porter to maneuver through the defense. Wesley Hardcastle struck a weak shot in the 26th minute. Brendon Shepherd didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Tenbury Wells AFC. In the 32nd minute, Sammy Perryman left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The EDGE United fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. Pierce Stone took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Sammy Perryman, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 38 minutes of play, EDGE United's Sammy Perryman made it 0-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Pierce Stone was left in no man's land by his defense there! Loyd Knight-Percival charged in rather forcefully in the 45th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Loyd Knight-Percival the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 45th minute, Loyd Knight-Percival hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When Dean Devine came up free with the goalie in the 47th minute, the EDGE United fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Dean Devine couldn't finish the play. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-2 lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Sammy Perryman stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 53rd minute Sammy Perryman shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Pierce Stone saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 66 minutes of play, Tenbury Wells AFC's Camron Adams made it 1-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Brendon Shepherd was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 69th minute of the match Nicky Branston shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Brendon Shepherd showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Sammy Perryman was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 77th minute. EDGE United's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. In the 79th minute the ball was on its way in behind Tenbury Wells AFC's goalkeeper Pierce Stone, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After a rather tough play, Tenbury Wells AFC's Loyd Knight-Percival got a free kick in the 80th minute. Sammy Perryman struck a weak shot in the 81st minute. Pierce Stone didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for EDGE United. Dean Devine fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 86th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Pierce Stone having to interfere. Sammy Perryman's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Pierce Stone read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 90th minute of play. A collision led to Tenbury Wells AFC getting a freekick after 92 minutes play. Joshua Flintoff hit a great ball.
