Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) After a defensive mix-up in Alton's zone, Dave Holland stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Marty Borrowdale came out of the goal and Dave Holland tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. If Martyn Hickson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 14th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 16th minute, Doug Plant reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Jordan Blackwater. The goal made the score 1-0. In the 20th minute, one of Dzeko Army:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Dzeko Army. The referee gave Alton a penalty, 21 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Ash Doughty, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Dzeko Army's Jordan Blackwater. 2-0. Blair Lomas kicked well hit freekick during the 24th minute of the match. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Dave Holland in the 29th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Marty Borrowdale prevented the ball from getting in the gole. When the match had gone on for 31 minutes, Doug Plant took a quick shot and it went in 3-0 without a chance for Jordan Blackwater to make any attempt to save it. When Frank Hallam fell near the penalty area in the 34th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Alton's protests and gave Frank Hallam a yellow card for diving instead. After 34 played minutes Alton got a freekick which was hit by Frank Hallam. Martyn Hickson fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 43rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jordan Blackwater having to interfere. After having played for 44 minutes, Doug Plant managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Alton's supporters crossed their fingers, but Doug Plant was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 3-0.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Dave Holland made a kick off. Martyn Hickson fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 52nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jordan Blackwater having to interfere. In the 54th minute, Martyn Hickson got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. If Martyn Hickson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 56th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 60 minutes into the match, Alton's goalkeeper Marty Borrowdale had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Kris Mannell. After a rather tough play, Dzeko Army's Dion Lydiate got a free kick in the 65th minute. Martyn Hickson scored 4-0 in the 73rd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Jordan Blackwater, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. 76 minutes into the match, Dzeko Army's goal looked a bit too open when Doug Plant came free, but Jordan Blackwater reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Martyn Hickson fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 78th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jordan Blackwater having to interfere. If Martyn Hickson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 81st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Alton's Marty Borrowdale played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Dave Holland in the 93rd minute of play. In the 94th minute the ball was on its way in behind Dzeko Army's goalkeeper Jordan Blackwater, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Martyn Hickson sent away a hard shot on goal in the 95th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. There was no doubt that Alton were the better team. Alton's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
