In the 6th minute, Beckford AFC's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Lenny Hedges fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. In the 8th minute of the match, Lenny Hedges got a very nice opportunity to score, but Eddy Kay was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. In the 14th match minute, Beckford AFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Howard Slater to maneuver through the defense. Lenny Hedges sent away a hard shot on goal in the 20th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 22 played minutes Beckford AFC got a freekick which was hit by Howard Slater. Eddy Kay made a fantastic save in the 32nd minute, when Lenny Hedges sent off a good shot on target. Eddy Kay stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Dylan Louis's shot from short distance in the 34th minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 36th minute, Barney Lampard managed to get in a good position for a shot. Beckford AFC's supporters rose to their feet, but Barney Lampard was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Lee Lawless breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Ashley Gulliver received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 37th minute. Lee Lawless tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Byron Bland kicked well hit freekick during the 40th minute of the match. Beckford AFC's Eddy Kay played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Dylan Louis in the 45th minute of play.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Howard Slater to make the kick off. Dylan Louis received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 52nd minute. Eddy Kay tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Ashley Gulliver's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Lee Lawless read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 54th minute of play. In the 55th minute Howard Slater shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Lee Lawless saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 62nd minute the ball was on its way in behind Shepherds Bush Boys's goalkeeper Lee Lawless, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Dylan Louis struck a weak shot in the 66th minute. Eddy Kay didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Shepherds Bush Boys. If Howard Slater had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 69th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Howard Slater sent away a hard shot on goal in the 72nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a defensive mix-up in Shepherds Bush Boys's zone, Howard Slater stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Lee Lawless came out of the goal and Howard Slater tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Howard Slater received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 89th minute. Lee Lawless tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 91 played minutes Beckford AFC got a freekick which was hit by Eddy Christensen. Eddy Kay showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Lenny Hedges in the 93rd minute of the match. If Howard Slater had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 95th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.
