In the 12th minute, Rod Lee-Barrett got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. If Rod Lee-Barrett had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 13th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Lewisham United's Charlie Cheeseman in the 16th minute got a chance for a shot 16th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Leave it yeh!'s goalie prevented a goal. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 19th minute of the game. One of Leave it yeh!:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Lewisham United:s goal. In the 20th minute there was a penalty for Lewisham United. Dean Wooding stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Geoff Dunne. 0-1. 26 minutes into the game, Rod Lee-Barrett cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-2. Geoff Dunne was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Charlie Cheeseman received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 31st minute. Geoff Dunne tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 34th play minutes Rod Lee-Barrett shot 0-3, a short shot which went by Geoff Dunne and just under the crossbar into goal. When Lewisham United's Rod Lee-Barrett in the 39th minute got a chance for a shot 39th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Leave it yeh!'s goalie prevented a goal. Barrie Maskell hit a great freekick 39 minutes into the match. 40 minutes into the match, Leave it yeh!'s goal looked a bit too open when Rod Lee-Barrett came free, but Geoff Dunne reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 42 minutes Leave it yeh!'s defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Dean Wooding who took care of the corner kick. The corner led Lewisham United's Dean Wooding to fire away a dangerous shot which Geoff Dunne despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Geoff Dunne showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Charlie Cheeseman in the 45th minute of the match. Disappointed in the 0-3 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The wind increased when Dom Saville made the kick off in the second half. In the 58th match minute, Leave it yeh! was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Barrie Maskell to maneuver through the defense. After 58 played minutes Dean Wooding scored with a long sweeping shot just to the left of Geoff Dunne who was too lazy, 0-5. Geoff Dunne didn't succeed in stopping the ball in the 71st minute, which inside left pole to 0-7. Barrie Maskell got his second yellow card in the match during the 76th minute which meant that he had to leave the ground. A collision led to Leave it yeh! getting a freekick after 77 minutes play. Barrie Maskell hit a great ball. In the 79th minute of the match, Rod Lee-Barrett tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Geoff Dunne saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. After some fancy dribbling in the 81st minute, Charlie Cheeseman managed to get in a good position for a shot. Lewisham United's supporters rose to their feet, but Charlie Cheeseman was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Geoff Dunne breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Rod Lee-Barrett received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 83rd minute. Geoff Dunne tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 89 minutes into the match, Leave it yeh!'s goal looked a bit too open when Louis Woodier came free, but Geoff Dunne reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Leave it yeh!'s Geoff Dunne played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Rod Lee-Barrett in the 91st minute of play. Charlie Cheeseman struck a weak shot in the 94th minute. Geoff Dunne didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Lewisham United. Rod Lee-Barrett fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 97th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Geoff Dunne having to interfere. When the match was over Lewisham United could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Leave it yeh! throughout the match.
