Robert Medley recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 31st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. But to his dismay, Devon Carey-Bertram quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. After some fancy dribbling in the 41st minute, Devon Carey-Bertram managed to get in a good position for a shot. Stanford le Hope United's supporters rose to their feet, but Devon Carey-Bertram was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Martyn Monkhouse breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Trev Gower sent away a hard shot on goal in the 45th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Trev Gower received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 46th minute. Martyn Monkhouse tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Trev Gower stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Dave Blake kicked well hit freekick during the 51st minute of the match. Rio Coote, 58 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. All Stars's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Trev Gower 60 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 0-3. Wally Beaumont charged in rather forcefully in the 68th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Wally Beaumont the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Zackary Norman's late challenge caught a All Stars's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Zackary Norman helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of All Stars booed when Stanford le Hope United was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 80 match minutes in a wonderful position. Zackary Norman didn't get a good kick on the ball. When Dave Blake was, once again, overly rough in his play he received his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 85 minutes had been played.
