Curtis Gallacher stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Rod Lee-Barrett's shot from short distance in the 14th minute. Basil Mudd didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Max Corbett went, in the 18th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. If Charlie Cheeseman had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 23rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Curtis Gallacher showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Rod Lee-Barrett in the 25th minute of the match. Basil Mudd didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Max Corbett went, in the 27th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-2 was the resulting score. Bryan Carey-Bertram's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Basil Mudd read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 32nd minute of play. 33 minutes into the match, Bryan Carey-Bertram had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Basil Mudd. Lewisham United's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Bryan Carey-Bertram was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-3. After 36 played minutes Lewisham United got a freekick which was hit by Keanu Carsley. Bryan Carey-Bertram took the ball and in the 41 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Basil Mudd. Basil Mudd dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-4.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Bryan Carey-Bertram made a kick off. Basil Mudd showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Bryan Carey-Bertram in the 52nd minute of the match. Basil Mudd took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Bryan Carey-Bertram, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Bryan Carey-Bertram sent away a hard shot on goal in the 56th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Bryan Carey-Bertram came up free with the goalie in the 61st minute, the Waterfoot fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Bryan Carey-Bertram couldn't finish the play. Bryan Carey-Bertram received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 65th minute. Basil Mudd tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. A collision led to Lewisham United getting a freekick after 66 minutes play. Louis Woodier hit a great ball. Basil Mudd was a little too slow when Bryan Carey-Bertram got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 67th minute. The score was now 0-5. Max Corbett sent away a hard shot on goal in the 69th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 71 minutes into the match, Lewisham United's goal looked a bit too open when Bryan Carey-Bertram came free, but Basil Mudd reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 78 minutes into the game, Roger Blackwood was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Waterfoot's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Lewisham United the free kick. Roger Blackwood hit a great freekick 79 minutes into the match. After a defensive mix-up in Lewisham United's zone, Max Corbett stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Basil Mudd came out of the goal and Max Corbett tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Rod Lee-Barrett received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 88th minute. Curtis Gallacher tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Curtis Gallacher stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Charlie Cheeseman's shot from short distance in the 90th minute. Basil Mudd showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Bryan Carey-Bertram, who was totally free with the ball in the 92nd minute. Basil Mudd showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Bryan Carey-Bertram in the 95th minute of the match. The supporters of Lewisham United booed when Waterfoot was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 96 match minutes in a wonderful position. Benji Rayner didn't get a good kick on the ball. Lewisham United's Dean Wooding couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 97th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Waterfoot. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Waterfoot had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
