The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Trev Gower was the one to do the kick off. The supporters of Leave it yeh! booed when Stanford le Hope United was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 58 match minutes in a wonderful position. Wally Beaumont didn't get a good kick on the ball. Geoff Dunne showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Trev Gower, who was totally free with the ball in the 64th minute. After 72 minutes, Wally Beaumont mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Stanford le Hope United and the Leave it yeh! players grew even worse after the yellow card. Geoff Dunne breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Stanford le Hope United were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest.
