In the 10th minute, Crispin Turner got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. If Ralf Gardener had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 15th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. 18 minutes into the game, Reg Eyre recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Travis Palmer. Reg Eyre showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-1. An unexpectedly hard shot by Reg Eyre in the 22nd minute of play forced Ironville City's goalkeeper Travis Palmer to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When FC Tulips's Reg Eyre in the 25th minute got a chance for a shot 25th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. In the 35th minute, Reg Eyre fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. Les Holland showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gareth Hough in the 45th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ralf Gardener in the 46th minute of play forced FC Tulips's goalkeeper Les Holland to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Gareth Hough received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 47th minute. Les Holland tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Reg Eyre to strike the kick off in the second half. FC Tulips's Mike Ainge got his second yellow card of the match in the 52nd minute. The referee ordered Mike Ainge off the ground. In the 54th minute Gareth Hough shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Les Holland saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Crispin Turner in the 62nd minute of play forced Ironville City's goalkeeper Travis Palmer to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Darius Logan kicked well hit freekick during the 63rd minute of the match. The audience was convinced that Gareth Hough's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Les Holland was relentless in the 66th minute of the game. FC Tulips's Les Holland proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 71st minute of the match, managed to save FC Tulips from getting a goal against them. Crispin Turner sent away a hard shot on goal in the 75th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Reg Eyre might have been able to make a better finish in the 78th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Travis Palmer. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Reg Eyre ran back to his position shaking his head. Travis Palmer showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Crispin Turner, who was totally free with the ball in the 80th minute. Gareth Hough struck a weak shot in the 82nd minute. Les Holland didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Ironville City. Les Holland was out of position in the 84 minute of play, and Ralf Gardener capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Ralf Gardener really showed his touch with that goal: 1-2. Ralf Gardener kicked well hit freekick during the 88th minute of the match. Crispin Turner received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 95th minute. Travis Palmer tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Ironville City walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
