After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Spike Jewson was the one to do the kick off. After a rather tough play, St Mirren's Ozzy Griggs got a free kick in the 56th minute. Through an outstanding action, after 58 minutes, Terry Winfield successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. In the 59th minute Spike Jewson shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Terry Winfield saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Ozzy Griggs got his second yellow card in the match during the 60th minute which meant that he had to leave the ground. Ozzy Griggs kicked well hit freekick during the 60th minute of the match. After 66 played minutes, St Mirren's Casey Talbot shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Basil Deeney came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in St Mirren reached it. Terry Winfield made an important save on a dangerous shot by Teddy Watkins in the 68th minute. With his leg Terry Winfield managed to avoid a goal in the 69thth minute, when Crowthorne's Teddy Watkins fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. In the 71st minute of the match Christian Goodwick sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Terry Winfield skillfully saved the ball. In the 72nd minute Spike Jewson shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Terry Winfield saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Curtis Peake struck a weak shot in the 74th minute. Basil Deeney didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for St Mirren. Terry Winfield showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Spike Jewson, who was totally free with the ball in the 77th minute. Teddy Watkins received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 78th minute. Terry Winfield tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Johnnie Blake had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 85th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Terry Winfield showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Spike Jewson in the 90th minute of the match. The audience thought a goal was coming when Teddy Watkins got free with Terry Winfield in the 93rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After a defensive mix-up in St Mirren's zone, Spike Jewson stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Terry Winfield came out of the goal and Spike Jewson tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Crowthorne's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
