Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The audience thought a goal was coming when Tris Waterhouse got free with Matty Howard in the 5th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 12 minutes into the game, Husbands Bosworth FC's Syd Crouch nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Sam Lynam made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. When Husbands Bosworth FC's Ollie Curtis in the 20th minute got a chance for a shot 20th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. Sam Lynam made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ollie Curtis in the 35th minute of play. In the 47th minute, Carlton Moxon made a precise shot to the right of Sam Lynam. Herne Hill's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-3.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Harvey Talbot made a kick off. In the 53rd match minute, Husbands Bosworth FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Syd Crouch to maneuver through the defense. Harvey Talbot's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Matty Howard read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 56th minute of play. Carlton Moxon kicked well hit freekick during the 57th minute of the match. Carlton Moxon could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 60th minute of the match, but Sam Lynam made a huge save. Harvey Talbot struck a weak shot in the 62nd minute. Matty Howard didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Herne Hill. After some fancy dribbling in the 64th minute, Carlton Moxon managed to get in a good position for a shot. Husbands Bosworth FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Carlton Moxon was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Sam Lynam breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After a rather tough play, Herne Hill's Tim Clarke got a free kick in the 65th minute. Sam Lynam showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ollie Curtis, who was totally free with the ball in the 68th minute. Ray Bowler's late challenge caught a Husbands Bosworth FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Ray Bowler helped the player get up and apologised. In the 70th match minute, Herne Hill was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ray Bowler to maneuver through the defense. Herne Hill's Sam Lynam played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ollie Curtis in the 74th minute of play. After 74 minutes, Daryl Myers mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Herne Hill and the Husbands Bosworth FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. If Ollie Curtis had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 76th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Husbands Bosworth FC's Matty Howard played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Daryl Myers in the 85th minute of play. Sam Lynam made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ollie Curtis in the 88th minute of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Ollie Curtis in the 98th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Sam Lynam saved Herne Hill from getting behind. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Husbands Bosworth FC had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
