Spectators: 7484 (Terracing: 5652, Seating: 1732, VIP seats: 100) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Rob Woodier started the match with the kick off. In the 3rd minute, Liam Delamore hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 4th minute of the match Geoff Cryan shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Seth Cowling showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. With a little luck, Topsham's Stewart Cook got control of the ball when Alfred Jenas tried to sneak it across the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 7th minute, Damien Nightingale managed to get in a good position for a shot. Poland Band FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Damien Nightingale was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Stewart Cook breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Damien Nightingale recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 8th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Damien Nightingale received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 10th minute. Stewart Cook tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Alfred Jenas had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 14th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Seth Cowling made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Kurt Waple in the 17th minute of play. Liam Delamore kicked well hit freekick during the 19th minute of the match. After 25 minutes of play, Topsham's Kurt Waple made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Seth Cowling was left in no man's land by his defense there! 28 minutes into the match, Poland Band FC's goal looked a bit too open when Kurt Waple came free, but Seth Cowling reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Seth Cowling made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Rob Woodier in the 29th minute of play. When Damien Nightingale came up free with the goalie in the 33rd minute, the Poland Band FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Damien Nightingale couldn't finish the play. Romeo Bacon hit a great freekick 34 minutes into the match. If Damien Nightingale had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 35th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 38th minute Rob Woodier shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Seth Cowling saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Topsham's Jeff Martindale got a good chance for a goal in the 41st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Alfred Jenas could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 47th minute of the match, but Stewart Cook made a huge save.

Poland Band FC's Seth Cowling played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Romeo Bacon in the 51st minute of play. Kurt Waple fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 56th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Seth Cowling having to interfere. In the 63rd minute, Damien Nightingale got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Rob Woodier received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 64th minute. Seth Cowling tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. James Bray lost his temper 67 minutes into the game and shoved another player to the ground. He was immediately shown a red card. Geoff Cryan shot the penalty kick right outside the post. If Alfred Jenas had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 73rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Romeo Bacon hit a great freekick 75 minutes into the match. After 76 played minutes Poland Band FC got a freekick which was hit by Dominic Lineker. Kurt Waple in the 77thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Seth Cowling, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Topsham's Kurt Waple got a good chance for a goal in the 80th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Kurt Waple in the 82nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Seth Cowling saved Poland Band FC from getting behind. In the 84th minute, Poland Band FC's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Rob Woodier fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post.
