Thanks to some nice moves Simon Notley could shoot a difficult shot in the 23rd minute, which Brendon Lowndes however easily saved by the left post. If Mike Goacher had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 26th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Rob Kerfoot made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Larry Teague in the 34th minute of play. After a rather tough play, Sheffield Wednesday F.C.'s Camron Pickard got a free kick in the 39th minute. If Keanu Postolan had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 40th minute. Stretford AFC's Brendon Lowndes played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Larry Hold in the 58th minute of play. Simon Notley fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 59th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Brendon Lowndes having to interfere. Simon Notley took the ball and in the 61 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Brendon Lowndes. Brendon Lowndes dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-1. After some fancy dribbling in the 65th minute, Simon Notley managed to get in a good position for a shot. Sheffield Wednesday F.C.'s supporters rose to their feet, but Simon Notley was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Brendon Lowndes breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Rupert England hit a great freekick 66 minutes into the match. With a little luck, Sheffield Wednesday F.C.'s Rob Kerfoot got control of the ball when Ash Burbeary tried to sneak it across the goal line.
