Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) shirebrook united's Jerome Afful started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Rio Fearns in the 4th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Carl Dowrick prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After a defensive mix-up in liverpool22's zone, Tod Bartlett stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Austen Jordan came out of the goal and Tod Bartlett tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 8th minute Jerome Afful shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Austen Jordan saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The audience thought a goal was coming when Jonny Sheehan got free with Austen Jordan in the 12th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. shirebrook united's Zaq Wright shoveled away a really nice long shot in the 14th minute of play. The shot was stopped by Austen Jordan but with some difficulty. Glenn Clifford recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 15th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 17th minute, Rio Fearns hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Thanks to some nice moves Jonny Sheehan could shoot a difficult shot in the 20th minute, which Austen Jordan however easily saved by the left post. With a little luck, liverpool22's Austen Jordan got control of the ball when Jonny Sheehan tried to sneak it across the goal line. Ralph Corbett recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 25th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. A collision led to liverpool22 getting a freekick after 29 minutes play. Rio Fearns hit a great ball. In the 36th minute Tod Bartlett shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Austen Jordan saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Glenn Clifford fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 40th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Carl Dowrick having to interfere. The crowd rose to their feet as Jonny Sheehan kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Austen Jordan. That made the score 2-0 in the 46 minute of play.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Glenn Clifford made a kick off. Glenn Clifford recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 51st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Glenn Clifford in the 53rd minute of play forced shirebrook united's goalkeeper Carl Dowrick to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 55th minute, Jerome Afful managed to get in a good position for a shot. shirebrook united's supporters rose to their feet, but Jerome Afful was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Austen Jordan breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Carl Dowrick was a little too slow when Eddie Foster got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 62nd minute. The score was now 2-2. Carl Dowrick showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Eddie Foster, who was totally free with the ball in the 66th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jerome Afful in the 67th minute of play forced liverpool22's goalkeeper Austen Jordan to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ralph Corbett in the 69th minute of play forced shirebrook united's goalkeeper Carl Dowrick to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 76 minutes into the game, shirebrook united's Jonny Sheehan nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Austen Jordan made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 3-3. Eddie Foster received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 79th minute. Carl Dowrick tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. liverpool22's Austen Jordan played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jerome Afful in the 85th minute of play. 88 minutes into the match, Jerome Afful notched a goal, 4-4, to the right of liverpool22's Austen Jordan. Austen Jordan was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Ralph Corbett sent away a hard shot on goal in the 92nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 93 minutes, Harry Whittaker mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the shirebrook united and the liverpool22 players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of liverpool22 booed when shirebrook united was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 93 match minutes in a wonderful position. Harry Whittaker didn't get a good kick on the ball. 94 minutes into the match, shirebrook united's goalkeeper Carl Dowrick had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Eddie Foster.
