Spectators: 5010 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 10) With 5 minutes on the clock, Trevor Gardiner commited a dangerous tackle. The referee had no choice but to show him the red card. After 4 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Fairfield! In the 12th minute Miles Laycock shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Lloyd Horsell saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Paul Bevan came up free with the goalie in the 14th minute, the Fairfield fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Paul Bevan couldn't finish the play. Iain Wedlock might have been able to make a better finish in the 16th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Lloyd Horsell. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Iain Wedlock ran back to his position shaking his head. 16 minutes into the match, Volitation's Iain Wedlock sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Lloyd Horsell narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Keith Moxon charged in rather forcefully in the 17th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Keith Moxon the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 17th match minute, Fairfield was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Keith Moxon to maneuver through the defense. 29 minutes into the match, Miles Laycock notched a goal, 1-2, to the right of Fairfield's Lloyd Horsell. Lloyd Horsell was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Dean Bullard kicked well hit freekick during the 32nd minute of the match. After 35 minutes of play, Volitation's Miles Laycock made it 1-3 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Lloyd Horsell was left in no man's land by his defense there! With a little luck, Volitation's Ray Pollard got control of the ball when Paul Bevan tried to sneak it across the goal line. Lloyd Horsell made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Iain Wedlock in the 45th minute of play. Fairfield's Lloyd Horsell played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Miles Laycock in the 46th minute of play. Lloyd Horsell showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Miles Laycock in the 48th minute of the match. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 2-3 lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Miles Laycock to strike the kick off in the second half. Iain Wedlock fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 52nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Lloyd Horsell having to interfere. If Miles Laycock had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 56th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Paul Bevan received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 60th minute. Ray Pollard tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 74th minute David Drury shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ray Pollard saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After having played for 75 minutes, Iain Wedlock managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Volitation's supporters crossed their fingers, but Iain Wedlock was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Fairfield's Lloyd Horsell played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Iain Wedlock in the 83rd minute of play. Ray Pollard came out of the goal in the 86th minute to try and stop a shot by Fairfield's Paul Bevan. But to his dismay, Paul Bevan quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-3. After having played for 89 minutes, Miles Laycock managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Volitation's supporters crossed their fingers, but Miles Laycock was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal.
