Spectators: 7565 (Terracing: 5675, Seating: 1739, VIP seats: 151) Russian Coonts FC's Luke Pilkington started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. When Volitation's Iain Wedlock in the 4th minute got a chance for a shot 4th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Russian Coonts FC's goalie prevented a goal. After 4 minutes, Bill Hardcastle mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Russian Coonts FC and the Volitation players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 4th minute, Bill Hardcastle hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 7 minutes into the match, Volitation's goalkeeper Ray Pollard had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Alfred Snowden. Alfred Snowden recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 10th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Alfred Snowden fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 13th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ray Pollard having to interfere. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Miles Laycock in the 16th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg James Greaves saved Russian Coonts FC from getting behind. Iain Wedlock received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 18th minute. James Greaves tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 23rd minute Miles Laycock shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but James Greaves saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. James Greaves made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Iain Wedlock in the 25th minute of play. Thanks to some nice moves Alfred Snowden could shoot a difficult shot in the 28th minute, which Ray Pollard however easily saved by the left post. An unexpectedly hard shot by Luke Pilkington in the 33rd minute of play forced Volitation's goalkeeper Ray Pollard to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 34 minutes into the match, Volitation's goal looked a bit too open when Luke Pilkington came free, but Ray Pollard reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Russian Coonts FC's James Greaves played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Iain Wedlock in the 41st minute of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Luke Pilkington in the 42nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Ray Pollard prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After 43 played minutes Volitation got a freekick which was hit by Dan Bibby. Iain Wedlock received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 47th minute. James Greaves tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Miles Laycock made a kick off. The audience thought a goal was coming when Miles Laycock got free with James Greaves in the 56th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After 60 played minutes Volitation got a freekick which was hit by Ronan Rockey. Ray Pollard took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Alfred Snowden, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Ray Pollard made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Luke Pilkington in the 63rd minute of play. Iain Wedlock fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 76th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without James Greaves having to interfere. Ray Pollard took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Alfred Snowden, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Dan Bibby's late challenge caught a Russian Coonts FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Dan Bibby helped the player get up and apologised. After 95 played minutes Volitation got a freekick which was hit by Dan Bibby. The Russian Coonts FC players were eager to celebrate when the final whistle sounded. They had somehow managed to win, even though the away team had held the majority of the possession.
