Spectators: 5010 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 10) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Zackary Bray took the kick off in the first half of the match. In the 8th minute of the match Olly Needham shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Lloyd Horsell showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. 10 minutes into the match, Ribena's goal looked a bit too open when Zackary Bray came free, but Gerry Bolton reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Gerry Bolton made an important save on a dangerous shot by Paul Bevan in the 11th minute. After a defensive mix-up in Fairfield's zone, Keanu Munday stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Lloyd Horsell came out of the goal and Keanu Munday tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Zackary Bray sent away a hard shot on goal in the 22nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Paul Bevan came free with the goalkeeper in the 23rd minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Gerry Bolton could save by the left post. Ribena's Gerry Bolton proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 27th minute of the match, managed to save Ribena from getting a goal against them. In the 28th minute, Zackary Bray fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. Paul Bevan in the 29thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Gerry Bolton, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. 32 minutes into the match, Paul Bevan had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Gerry Bolton. Ribena's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Paul Bevan was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-1. If Keanu Munday had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 38th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Keanu Munday fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 41st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Lloyd Horsell having to interfere. After 43 played minutes, Ribena's Olly Needham shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Lloyd Horsell came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Ribena reached it. Keanu Munday recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 45th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Ian Thackray was the one to do the kick off. If Gez Milton had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 59th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Gez Milton struck a weak shot in the 69th minute. Lloyd Horsell didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Ribena. Keanu Munday could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 74th minute of the match, but Lloyd Horsell made a huge save. Gerry Bolton came out of the goal in the 79th minute to try and stop a shot by Fairfield's Zackary Bray. But to his dismay, Zackary Bray quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-2. If Keanu Munday had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 83rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Ian Thackray might have been able to make a better finish in the 86th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Lloyd Horsell. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Ian Thackray ran back to his position shaking his head. After 88 played minutes Fairfield got a freekick which was hit by Carlton Brimble. 90 minutes in the game, Ian Thackray fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Lloyd Horsell having to interfere. After having played for 93 minutes, Ian Thackray managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Ribena's supporters crossed their fingers, but Ian Thackray was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Keanu Munday struck a weak shot in the 94th minute. Lloyd Horsell didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Ribena. Fairfield succeeded in salvaging a draw, even though Ribena had controlled the match.
