The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Kev Tonkin didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Crazy Chickens London. After a defensive mix-up in YNWA United's zone, Ashley Woodier stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Kev Tonkin came out of the goal and Ashley Woodier tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 13th minute, Kris Mansell got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The audience was convinced that Kris Mansell's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Kev Tonkin was relentless in the 16th minute of the game. When Ashley Woodier came up free with the goalie in the 18th minute, the Crazy Chickens London fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ashley Woodier couldn't finish the play. Kris Mansell blasted a shot towards the goal in the 20th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Kev Tonkin having to make a save. Ashley Woodier scored 0-1 in the 33rd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Kev Tonkin, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. The audience was convinced that Kris Mansell's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Kev Tonkin was relentless in the 37th minute of the game. After some careless play in the Crazy Chickens London defense, Jeffrey Fielden kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Eddie Fawcett. Ashley Woodier could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 81st minute of the match, but Kev Tonkin made a huge save. 90 minutes had been played when some careless play by YNWA United's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Grant Banim was slow to take the kick. During this time Crazy Chickens London's players had a chance to rest. Crazy Chickens London's Grant Banim was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Kev Tonkin in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. Ashley Woodier sent away a hard shot on goal in the 93rd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Crazy Chickens London were disappointed that they only managed a draw, even though they felt themselves to be the better team.
