Spectators: 5010 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 10) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Zackary Bray took the kick off in the first half of the match. In the 5th minute the ball was on its way in behind Fairfield's goalkeeper Lloyd Horsell, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. 7 minutes into the match, Russian Coonts FC's goalkeeper James Greaves had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Paul Bevan. In the 12th minute, Zackary Bray got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Luke Pilkington sent away a hard shot on goal in the 14th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. A collision led to Fairfield getting a freekick after 15 minutes play. Jo Leatherdale hit a great ball. In the 20th minute of the match Gavin Lockwood shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Lloyd Horsell showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Alfred Snowden fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 21st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Lloyd Horsell having to interfere. Alfred Snowden received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 24th minute. Lloyd Horsell tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Alfred Snowden fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 31st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Lloyd Horsell having to interfere. 37 minutes into the game, Keith Moxon was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Fairfield's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Russian Coonts FC the free kick. After 37 played minutes Fairfield got a freekick which was hit by Keith Moxon. Luke Pilkington fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 43rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Lloyd Horsell having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Russian Coonts FC's Timothy Crowther got a free kick in the 47th minute. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Luke Pilkington to strike the kick off in the second half. Lloyd Horsell showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Bill Hardcastle, who was totally free with the ball in the 52nd minute. 58 minutes into the match, Fairfield's goal looked a bit too open when Luke Pilkington came free, but Lloyd Horsell reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Lloyd Horsell came out of the goal in the 59th minute to try and stop a shot by Russian Coonts FC's Luke Pilkington. But to his dismay, Luke Pilkington quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. When Bill Hardcastle fell near the penalty area in the 63rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Russian Coonts FC's protests and gave Bill Hardcastle a yellow card for diving instead. After 63 played minutes Russian Coonts FC got a freekick which was hit by Bill Hardcastle. 64 minutes into the match, Fairfield's Carlton Brimble broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. James Greaves showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Paul Bevan in the 68th minute of the match. In the 72nd minute, Alfred Snowden got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After a defensive mix-up in Fairfield's zone, Luke Pilkington stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Lloyd Horsell came out of the goal and Luke Pilkington tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. James Greaves was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Luke Pilkington sent away a hard shot on goal in the 83rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. The supporters of Russian Coonts FC booed when Fairfield was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 91 match minutes in a wonderful position. David Drury didn't get a good kick on the ball. Many of Russian Coonts FC's supporters were seen to leave the ground early as it became clear their team was going to lose. Russian Coonts FC may have spent more time on the ball, but Fairfield were more willing to take their chances and they walked away with the win.
