Gerry West made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Denny Cox in the 4th minute of play. If Gregory Gerrard had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 6th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a defensive mix-up in Conisbrough's zone, Rodney Horsell stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Brett Darling came out of the goal and Rodney Horsell tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Rodney Horsell fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 10th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Brett Darling having to interfere. After having played for 12 minutes, Gregory Gerrard managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Folkestone AFC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Gregory Gerrard was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Denny Cox blasted a shot towards the goal in the 18th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Gerry West having to make a save. Frank Jones charged in rather forcefully in the 19th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Frank Jones the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After a rather tough play, Folkestone AFC's Frank Jones got a free kick in the 19th minute. 23 minutes into the game, Rodney Horsell cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Brett Darling was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. After a rather tough play, Folkestone AFC's Todd Earnshaw got a free kick in the 27th minute. Jake Noble charged in rather forcefully in the 28th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Jake Noble the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Harry Garner during the 31st minute. Rodney Horsell might have been able to make a better finish in the 35th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Brett Darling. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Rodney Horsell ran back to his position shaking his head. 35 minutes into the game, Folkestone AFC's Gregory Gerrard nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Brett Darling made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-2. Spike Hall hit a great freekick 38 minutes into the match. Conisbrough's Joey Broadhurst got a good chance for a goal in the 46th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar.

The wind increased when Rodney Horsell made the kick off in the second half. After a defensive mix-up in Folkestone AFC's zone, Andre Pettifer stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Gerry West came out of the goal and Andre Pettifer tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 56th match minute, Folkestone AFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Stewart Bowland to maneuver through the defense. 60 minutes into the match, Conisbrough's goalkeeper Brett Darling had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Gregory Gerrard. Denny Cox sent away a hard shot on goal in the 63rd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Rodney Horsell sent away a hard shot on goal in the 65th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Gregory Gerrard struck a weak shot in the 66th minute. Brett Darling didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Folkestone AFC. Joey Broadhurst fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 68th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gerry West having to interfere. In the 70th minute, Denny Cox got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. When Jake Noble was, once again, overly rough in his play he received his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 71 minutes had been played. After 72 played minutes Folkestone AFC got a freekick which was hit by Jake Noble. Andre Pettifer kicked well hit freekick during the 82nd minute of the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 92nd minute, Denny Cox managed to get in a good position for a shot. Conisbrough's supporters rose to their feet, but Denny Cox was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Gerry West breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. If Gregory Gerrard had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 96th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The Conisbrough supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Folkestone AFC's performance. The match ended with a win for Folkestone AFC.
